The operational heart of OMC Engineered Solutions comprises two high-capacity manufacturing hubs in the Mid-West of Ireland.
With a combined footprint and technical infrastructure designed for scale, we offer a unique “Closed-Loop” service – managing everything from digital design and precision laser cutting to large-scale chemical surface treatments in-house.
Limerick Headquarters:
High-Purity Manufacturing
Our main facility on the Ballysimon Road in Limerick is dedicated to the production of high-specification stainless steel and aluminium components. This site is engineered to meet the stringent demands of the pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and healthcare sectors.
Advanced Laser Processing:
Our facility features the Trumpf TruLaser 3030, a cornerstone of our precision fabrication. This technology allows for the rapid processing of complex geometries with perfect edge quality, serving as the foundation for our design-led manufacturing services.
Segregated Fabrication Zones:
To maintain the highest standards of material integrity, our workshop is physically partitioned. This ensures that stainless steel and aluminium fabrication is strictly isolated, preventing cross-contamination and ensuring the purity of every component intended for sterile environments.
Surface Treatment Excellence:
Surface Treatment Excellence: Limerick is home to Ireland’s largest dedicated Electropolishing and Passivation baths. Measuring 6.5m (l) x 1.2m (w) x 1.5m (h), these fully bunded, double-skinned tanks allow us to chemically treat massive process vessels, complex skid modules, and intricate pipework sections with total consistency.
Thurles
Facility:
Structural Engineering Hub
As part of our recent strategic expansion, we have established a new dedicated premises at the former Sugar Factory in Thurles, Co. Tipperary. This 30,000 sq. ft. facility has significantly increased our capacity for large-scale engineering and structural projects.
Specialised Structural Steelwork:
By moving our structural operations to Thurles, we have created a dedicated environment for the fabrication of primary and secondary steel packages, including staircases, mezzanine platforms, and architectural feature work.
High-Volume Capacity:
The expansive nature of the Thurles site allows for the assembly and testing of large-scale modular utility skids and structural frames, providing the floor space required for pre-commissioning before transport to site.
Precision Fabrication & Quality Assurance:
All structural and modular builds are manufactured under strict quality controls, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across every project stage.
Technical Integration & Design Support
Both our Limerick and Thurles facilities are digitally linked to our design office, facilitating a “BIM-to-Bench” workflow. This allows our engineers to act as consultants for our clients, using 3D virtual prototyping to refine bespoke engineered solutions.
This consultative approach ensures that by the time fabrication begins, every technical challenge has been resolved, guaranteeing precision during final on-site execution.
